I've been working on my own take on the Gary vs. David music challenge from Regular Show, and wanted to share what came out of it. This isn't the complete version by any means -- it's just one of the mixes I've been working on. I might dive back into it and create more versions down the road, maybe exploring different musical styles or expanding on the themes. For now, though, this feels like a solid starting point.
For those who might not remember this particular episode, it's set 200 years after Gary left Synthos, where David has taken over as ruler and banned all "challenging" music. The episode features robotic guards, prison sentences involving being blasted to the sun, and ultimately culminates in an intense music battle between Gary and David for the throne.
Regular Show was one of those comfort shows for me as an adult. I used to watch the early episodes by myself and the newer ones with my girlfriend (now wife). We even got into making Muscle Man's "my mom" jokes to each other when we first started living together.
I've got a lot of things in my head and life to process right now. But I'm so grateful that no matter where I am, I can always just open FL Studio on my Mac and do my thing. It's my way to relax a bit and forget reality for a while.
