awkward bank sequel
Today was supposed to be a simple trip to the bank to update my passport details and phone number on file.
I arrived at the bank branch just down the street. Grabbed the token and waited for my turn. When I reached the counter, I was greeted by a teller who looked more nervous than when I had to give a speech in front of my entire middle school. I think the sight of a dumb foreigner was just too much for the poor woman to handle.
It took 30 minutes to verify and scan the passport & resident documents, verify the phone number, and take a new photograph for their record. Then, I digitally signed everything and headed out.
Just when I thought I was home free, my phone rang. It was none other than the teller, with the embarrassing admission that she made a mistake while submitting the details to their record, and I needed to return. As if this bank visit wasn't awkward enough already.
I hustled back to redo the whole thing.
🤞 Hope I won't get another panic call on Monday.
