a reality check on my unused domain names
A few days ago, I saw a question in the Kerala Product Hub asking everyone how many domains they own and how many they actually use. This got me reflecting on my own domain portfolio. I checked my Dynadot account and found that I have around 22 domains registered there. On top of that, I have at least 15 more registered directly through NICs.
Many of these domains have no business purpose (yet?) - I just bought them on a whim but never developed anything with them. Some ideas I had never materialized into actual sites or projects. Seeing how much money I've spent on domains that are simply sitting unused was eye-opening. These ones will likely be allowed to expire in the coming months as renewals come due. Going forward, I want to be more judicious about domain registrations.
