Years have passed, and we're still here, trapped in the very compromise we once swore was temporary. At what point did we collectively vote to give up our autonomy and write ourselves into these looping scripts we're now stuck replaying? Nobody was there holding a gun to our heads, forcing us onto this treadmill. We walked onto it willingly, making one small compromise at a time, reassuring ourselves that it was normal.
